Mayor’s blog is online!

Welcome to my blog. As mayor of the City of Maplewood I feel that it is important that our citizens have access to city government and, in particular, their elected Mayor. My job responsibilities include representing everyone living and working within in the city.

This blog is intended to accomplish several objectives:

  1. Provide a forum for me to communicate my goals, objectives and accomplishments to my constituents.
  2. Provide a forum for constituents to comment on city affairs and ask questions regarding my opinion on a variety of Maplewood related topics.
  3. Provide a forum for citizens, businesses and guests to interact with each other in a responsible and respectful manner, using their actual names.
  4. Provide an opportunity to initiate surveys regarding our citizens’ vision for the future of the city and specific topics.

The mayor’s blog does not necessarily represent the views of the rest of the City Council, city staff, or the government of the City of Maplewood and should not be construed as such. The blog is under my sole supervision and I will do my best to address issues and answer questions in an honest, accurate and straightforward manner.

Thank you for visiting this site.

In an effort to provide transparency as to how Maplewood tax dollars are being used, I feel it is important that when elected officials attend conferences and workshops that they report back to taxpayers on what they participated in and how it is of benefit to the City of Maplewood. Dana Huth and Ben Triola have facilitated this site as a public service on my behalf and they have had great patience with me as I am learning how to edit the site and its contents. They are just one of many of the great businesses that call Maplewood home. You can support them by using RAMPANT’s services or visiting the MAUHAUS Cat Cafe and Lounge.
